I would like to share the house buying story of my friend. She decided to buy house at the outer of city in Chennai. Her husband is working in Dubai and she has to take responsibility for all the house buying activities.
She decided to take over the process and work through a broker. They decided to buy the house at the place called Tambaram at the outer city and they went to view the facilities of the house. She accepted all the conditions but there was a problem in buying the home. She was unable to verify if the electricity was current. She did not find any electric lamp working in the house.
She started to inquire about this problem to the broker. The broker told her the government is arranging for the electric facility in that area. She believed the broker and left.
She waited for 4 to 5 months and found there was still no electricity in the house. She then suspected foul play and inquired in the government office about the electricity facility in the particular area where she selected the house to buy.
At last, she came to know that the land where the house is located is not approved by government for electricity let alone a house. She was shocked after knowing the malpractice for she had already bought the house through the broker. So be aware of some basic things before buying your house. And consult the government officials about the area and facilities before you buy.
