I would like to know about all the down payment assistance programs, grants, etc. out there. Additionally, I would also like to know if there are special grants out there for seniors.

Regarding down payment assistance programs available to seniors; whatever programs that are available have no age limits. Lenders and down payment assistance agencies cannot discriminate against age.

Also, you may want to consider first time home buyer grants which is totally different from down payment assistance.

Grants do not have to be paid back whereas down payment assistance is not really all it sounds like. It is a way to use charities but it is not really a gift.
