My husband was transferred to Michigan for his new job last year. We'd never lived away from our home town in Alabama before, so this was really a huge deal for the both of us.
The real estate agent that we used had been recommended to us by some colleagues of my husband's. She was courteous and just FANTASTIC about everything. She worked closely with us until we found the perfect home in our new location, that was both close to his work and had a great school, too.
I don't think our move would have been as painless had it not been for her efforts (which she went above and beyond for us, as I was so nervous about moving to a strange place).
From start to finish, it took less than 2 months to find a house/purchase/get loans/etc. This is our second home that we have ever bought. Our first one, when we were just married, didn't go even half as smoothly as this one did.
We traveled up here to visit the places she wanted to show us and the entire experience was just a dream. I couldn't have asked for a better home buying experience, ever.
It's been a year now and my family is really happy with the place! Even though this meant we had to leave our home state of Alabama and relocate to beautiful Michigan, we are very happy. Relocating was not a problem at all!

I am wanting to purchase a small single family home for myself and I don't make a whole lot. I read about the debt to income ratio and I'm good on that.
